HISTORIC MOUNT LEHMAN WALK

DURATION: 1 hour
Mount Lehman Community Hall located at the corner of Taylor Rd and Mount Lehman Rd.
Walkers will gather at the Community Hall located at the corner of Taylor Rd and Mount Lehman Rd. then walk south, stopping at the Mount Lehman United Church and discuss a short history of the 1894 structure.
Then proceed up to the Southern Rail (BC Electric) tracks, Fire Hall, Post Office, Library & Credit Union to learn more about those historic sites and finally over to the parking lot of the Army, Navy & Airforce Veterans building and memorial Cenotaph to learn about this historic building an former WW2 troop barracks, moved to its’ present day site in the 1950’s from the Commonwealth Air Training facility at the Abbotsford Airport during WW2.
Then a leisurely (downhill) walk returning to the Community Hall.
