Yes, you can! In this class, we’ll be teaching you how to turn summer fruits into homemade jams with less sugar, a delicious syrup for making special drinks, or fruit filling for desserts.
Angela Boon and Charlotte Lepp will talk about their favourite methods for preserving food in jars, including canning and freezing so that you can make the most out of the summer ahead.
Produce Manager Brent will be teaching the ins and outs of pickling asparagus and garlic scapes, which are always a hit at potlucks and summer gatherings (and Christmas parties, if you can hold off on eating them that long!) They will also try and answer any general canning questions you may have, so come prepared!
